JOB PURPOSE
As a front-line member of the Abertarff team your job is give an amazing welcome and tell the stories of this central site. You will be delivering guided city tours, small events, working in a small tea house, selling membership, and providing tourist information to visitors

This role is key in engaging our visitors in the story of The National Trust for Scotland and the wider visitor experience; your role is to make a visit to a tiny house a great part of their day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

This role will assist the Engagement team to deliver high quality visitor experience at Abertarff House (including but not limited to):

• Provide excellent customer service and process purchases in a friendly, efficient, Knowledgeable manner.
• Providing information about the site, its history, membership, offers and merchandise.
• Be responsible and proactive. Ensuring all day-to-day tasks are completed including record keeping and reporting figures, cleaning, preparation, and basic administration as required.

About you
A true passion for all things Scotch whisky!
Previous customer service within hospitality, retail and tourism is beneficial due to the nature of the role and must ensure to deliver excellent customer service at all points in the customer journey.

Our Visitor Services Team are responsible for providing a high quality visitor experience through engagement with our local communities, user groups and visitors to our forests and land.

They manage public access and safety across a geographically diverse holding, including our trails, visitor centre and urban woodlands that support the mental and physical wellbeing of over 2.6 million visitors annually.

Working with a small team, you’ll develop and deliver engagement plans for consultations and upcoming works from local woodlands through to landscape scale projects. You will also coordinate enquires from individuals and communities working with colleagues across our teams to respond in a timely professional manner.

Part of the role is to encourage new audiences to our sites across the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and Central belt, working with neighbours, groups and communities to enhance the visitor experience. You will also build working relationships with partners to develop and oversee visitor and community engagement projects.

Occasional evening, weekend and public holiday working is a requirement for the role.

Dundee Science Centre is currently looking for 3 experienced and motivated individuals with exceptional communication skills to join our team to fulfil the pivotal role of Visitor Experience Administrator in a part time capacity.

You will be the face of Dundee Science Centre – based at reception you will welcome, visitors, colleagues, partners, and stakeholders with a welcoming and bubbly attitude. You will be an excellent communicator and an effective team player that can multi-task. Your main function will be to ensure every visitor to Dundee Science Centre experiences an amazing visit and receives excellent customer care. This is a public facing role and as such you will work across the Services departments with a proactive hands-on approach to 5-star operational delivery. Purpose

Retail Services

Holidays
Holiday entitlement is 31 days, rising to 4 weeks and 2 days after 3 years’ service and rising to 5 weeks after 5 years’ service. Pro-rata for part time hours. This includes public holidays, 4 of which are fixed – Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, and 2nd January.

Bowhill House & Grounds, Selkirk

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and busy Visitor Services team at Bowhill House and Grounds, a five-star visitor attraction near Selkirk, during the 2022 season.

In this role you will work in our café welcoming visitors, serving delicious cakes, lunches and refreshments, and ensuring that the highest standards of hygiene are maintained. You will also work in the kiosk issuing tickets, dealing with bookings and giving visitors the information they need to enjoy their visit. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a busy visitor services environment.
