Role Responsibilities:

Learn the history and heritage of the distillery and be able to communicate this to visitors.
Responsibility for service delivery through leading all distillery tours and on/offsite tastings.
Work across all areas of the visitor centre including hosting groups, working in the retail shop and tasting bar.
Host all levels of tours of the distillery, delivering high standards of customer service.
Responsible for opening and closing premises.
Assist with stock takes and counts.
Daily banking and reconciliation.

Work with the distillery operations team to ensure company operational procedures and H&S practices are adhered to rigorously.
Ensure Visitor Centre facilities are always maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bowhill House & Grounds, Selkirk

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and busy Visitor Services team at Bowhill House and Grounds, a five-star visitor attraction near Selkirk, during the 2022 season.

In this role you will work in our café welcoming visitors, serving delicious cakes, lunches and refreshments, and ensuring that the highest standards of hygiene are maintained. You will also work in the kiosk issuing tickets, dealing with bookings and giving visitors the information they need to enjoy their visit. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a busy visitor services environment.

The Art Works is our project to deliver a sustainable new facility for the National Galleries of Scotland to care for, research and share Scotland’s world-renowned collection of art. This role will ensure that NGS is responding to and working with the local community to embed The Art Works in North Edinburgh to enable it to make a positive contribution. The role will enable the community voice to contribute and influence the Art Works in terms of its design and its contribution to the community. The role will be a conduit for clear and open communication between the local community, NGS colleagues and project partners. The research and insights gained through working with the community will support the wider NGS audience development planning and as such this post will have an awareness and understanding of the audience plans for NGS. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 Greet each customer in a friendly and approachable manner
 Orientate visitors by informing them of facilities on site

Haddo House is located around 5 miles from the village of Tarves, set within extensive country park, it is a magnificent example of a Scottish stately home in the Palladian style.
